Andrea Childers has been making music for 40 years, and it’s no surprise—she comes from a family where instruments were practically part of the furniture. As a teenager, she played in several youth symphonies and orchestras, and as an adult she’s been part of more bands than she can count.

These days, Andrea is the fiddle player for the bluegrass-country fusion band Vested Interest, and she also performs solo at a wide variety of events. Whether she’s on stage or teaching in the studio, her passion is helping people connect through music and sparking a love for it that lasts a lifetime.

Andrea’s students can often be found performing at community events throughout the valley, bringing music, confidence, and joy wherever they go.

Andrea teaches beginning to advanced fiddle, beginning to intermediate violin, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, beginning piano, mandolin, cello, viola, and ukulele. Lesson rates are $40 for 30 minutes or $80 for 60 minutes. Gift Certificates available.

In addition to private lessons, Andrea offers several specialty classes:

• How to Jam Class – A fun, approachable workshop covering proper jam etiquette and giving students a safe space to practice jamming in a small group.

• Audition Prep – Perfect for students preparing for auditions, with focused skill-building and the opportunity to rehearse using a sound system.

• Fiddle Contest Boot Camp (summer only) – A seasonal intensive designed to build confidence, technique, and stage-ready performance skills.
